Audi RS Q8 receives tuning package from ABTFebruary 13, 2020
Last month, German tuner ABT Sportsline announced a software update for the 4.0-liter V8 twin-cylinder engine installed in the latest Audi Sport RS6 Avant, RS7 Sportback and RS Q8.
The aftermarket specialist has now released more detailed information about the latest model, which gets more than just an increase in power and torque. The ABT Power Performance Upgrade package allows you to install the RS Q8 V8 engine at 700 hp. and 880 Nm of torque. Compared with the standard model, the engine received a power increase of 100 hp. and 80 Nm.
According to ABT, performance will improve due to the fact that the high-tech control unit saves 0.3 seconds at a distance of 0-100 km / h, as a result of which the crossover can accelerate to the “first hundred” in 3.8 seconds. The maximum speed remains unchanged at 305 km / h, which is pretty good for a car whose weight exceeds 2.4 tons.
In addition to improving performance, the tuner also offers an electronic suspension update in the form of a three-stage ABT Level Control (ALC). The first (Comfort) lowers the suspension by 25 mm, and the second (Dynamic) – by 15 mm. The third setting, called ABT Loading Level, is available only in stationary mode. It reduces the SUV by 65 mm (2.5 inches) compared to the original Comfort mode. ABT Sportsline claims that the ALC suspension improves handling because it shifts the RS Q8’s center of gravity down.
The German tuner also offers other improvements, including integrated ABT backlighting with logo projection and a wide range of custom alloy wheels.
