An exclusive version of the German supercar Audi R8 LMS GT2, called the Color Edition, is presented. In this version, the supercar costs a minimum of $ 422,000 and is available in additional colors.

The R8 LMS GT2 is the most powerful car in Audi Sport’s lineup of racing cars – more powerful than other similar cars such as the R8 LMS GT4 and the recently launched entry-level RS3 LMS. “The flagship car deserves more attractive paint schemes, so it’s no surprise that Audi Exclusive’s personalization program has been expanded to include several new exterior colors,” reads a press release.

The new Color Edition offers a choice of six equally attractive paint finishes for the R8 LMS GT2: Vegas Yellow, Tactical Green, Sebring Black, Nogaro Blue, Misano Red and Kyalami Green. Each of these paints is applied to the CFRP body and the top is painted black regardless of the base color.

It’s worth noting that Sebring Black is the most menacing of the six new shades. All vehicles have copper wheels and black fenders with red and white Audi Sport lettering on the endplates. The mirrors and roof bucket are also finished in black to create what is arguably one of the most attractive modern race cars we’ve seen in recent memory.

Powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine, the Audi R8 LMS GT2 delivers 630 horsepower and over 550 Nm of torque. It is largely based on an updated version of the regular Audi R8, but is significantly lighter as it weighs only 1,350 kg dry.

When the last R8 LMS GT2 debuted almost two years ago, Audi set a starting price of 338,000 euros. Unsurprisingly, the Color Edition is more expensive, starting at a staggering 349,000 euros.

Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the “charged” cars of the Audi RS 2022 family will become more stylish and powerful. Audi Sport is making several changes to its 2022 model year high-performance RS family in terms of models targeted for the United States market. Among the changes are the new RS Design “packages”, which are designed to give more aggressive styling to some vehicles.
