Audi Q5 Sportback has changed especially for ChinaOctober 30, 2020
The love of Chinese motorists for the popular extended wheelbase models is well known. Many automakers, with this in mind, are creating long-wheelbase versions of cars especially for China.
The FAW-Volkswagen joint venture has unveiled a stretched version of the European crossover Audi Q5 Sportback. In length, the novelty has grown by 89 mm – up to 4 778 mm. The wheelbase of the SUV has increased by the same amount – up to 2,908 mm. The width and height are 1892 (-1 mm) and 1666 (+4 mm), respectively.
The first acquaintance with the car took place last month in Beijing, but the novelty should debut at the November motor show in Guangzhou. Immediately after the premiere, the grown Audi Q5 Sportback will be on sale. The cost of an SUV will vary from 387,800 to 498,000 yuan.
The crossover for the Celestial Empire differs slightly from the European version: the difference is reduced to minor nuances in the design of optics, bumpers and a radiator grille.
The stretched crossover ensures a more comfortable fit for rear passengers. The new dimensions did not affect the volume of the trunk: 510 – 1 480 liters. The novelty is set in motion by the same engine that is hidden under the hood of the Audi Q5L. This is a two-liter petrol turbo four, whose power varies from 190 to 252 hp.
The engine is combined with a seven-speed “robot” S tronic and all-wheel drive system. The top crossover accelerates to a hundred in 6.8 seconds.
