Audi prepares mysterious new E-Tron for ShanghaiApril 16, 2021
Audi unveiled the e-tron Q4 yesterday, but another is coming soon as the company released a teaser for the mysterious model to be shown at the Shanghai International Auto Show.
The German manufacturer keeps the details under wraps. At the same time, he confirmed that the first show of the new version of the Audi E-Tron will be a world premiere. They also released a teaser sketch vaguely reminiscent of the e-tron GT.
The mysterious model will receive a fully enclosed radiator grille with black piping. The latter enters the large air intakes with bright metal grilles. The model also features slim headlights and a central air intake with the e-tron logo. The exterior features a long hood and pronounced fenders. The model also features stylish two-tone alloy wheels, which are backed up by a high-performance braking system with red calipers.
The sketch isn’t that great, but the model looks like a sedan, sportback, or station wagon. It is also likely that this is a concept that could potentially transform a future production model.
Audi will introduce at least 20 electric vehicles by 2025. In addition to the electronic Q4s, the company has promised other models based on the MEB platform and said they will range from compact to mid-size vehicles. All of them will receive “breathtaking design, high-quality interiors and the latest operating system.”
Audi is also working on a premium PPE architecture that will underpin a range of vehicles, including station wagons, crossovers, sportbacks and SUVs. This platform can become the base of the mysterious e-tron. Reports suggested that the new product could be launched in 2023. The automaker also has a project called Artemis, which is set to create a “high-performance electric vehicle” as early as 2024.
Details of the new products will be announced on April 19, when the Shanghai Motor Show kicks off.
