Audi P18 E-Tron Supercar to be released in limited editionJanuary 11, 2019
According to representatives of the German brand, all-electric supercar will be released in a limited edition of 50 copies. The novelty will be shown next year. The price is still unknown.
The stunning Audi PB18 e-tron concept, which debuted at Car Week in Monterey in 2018, still gets the green light. Audi Global CEO Bram Shot, told in his interview with the overseas edition of Autoweek Netherlands, that the all-electric supercar should appear next year and only 50 of its copies will go into production.
We know that the serial version of the Audi PB18 e-tron concept will be equipped with three electric motors with a total capacity of 671 hp. (830 Nm of torque).
The electric car will also receive an option for a short-term increase in power to 764 hp. According to available information, the German supercar can reach speeds of 100 km / h in 2 seconds, as well as its conceptual performance.
In terms of the power reserve of the novelty, the guys from Audi promise the presence of a solid-state battery with a capacity of 95 kWh. Due to this, the electric car can drive 500 kilometers without recharging. With the help of an 800 volt charging system, the battery can be fully charged in just 15 minutes – it is possible to use wireless charging.
But the basic idea of the PB-18 concept is the fact that the steering wheel can be moved across the entire width of the cabin, depending on the preferences of the driver. So far, there is no certainty that this “trick” will be transferred to the production version of the model.
Not so long ago, we wrote about the new technology Audi Holoride, which turns car trips into virtual games with the effect of presence.
