Audi is going to miss the auto show in New YorkJanuary 13, 2020
According to Motor1 agency, relying on the communications chapter of the Audi office in North America, the brand will not take part in the upcoming auto show in New York.
According to the top manager of the German brand, the corporation does not intend to completely abandon the auto show, however, it is going to consider other options for demonstrating its own new models. As for the New York – 2020 auto show, in this case the refusal, in particular, is due to the high rental cost.
It should be noted that automakers began to refuse to participate in the auto show a couple of years ago. And, first of all, it touched the luxury segment. For example, at the end of 2019, Daimler organized a fully online show of the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
The auto shows themselves are becoming different. For example, the Detroit auto show for the first time in 31 years will be held not in January, as usual, but in June in a new format. Regarding the auto show in New York, it will be held this year from April 10 to 19.
