The new version of the German hatchback A3 has not yet been officially presented, but Audi is already giving us a look at the more powerful S-version of the model. The car received a power of 306 hp. The car was demonstrated at a private event.

The debut of the updated version of the hatchback Audi A3 Sportback will be held in early March this year at the Geneva Motor Show. The good news is that we don’t have to wait long for the time when the automaker will present us with a more powerful version of the model under the S3 index.

Although the guys from Ingolstadt have not yet disclosed all the details about the high-performance S3 Sportback, they invited some media representatives to the closed presentation of the prototype of the new product. The event was held in the Azores.

It is reported that under the hood of the car will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged TFSI gasoline engine, which will be designed for 306 hp. power and 400 Nm of torque, which is only 10 hp more than the previous model. A completely new version of the S3 will receive all-wheel drive Quattro. The system will transfer up to 100% of the available power to each axis, while earlier, the distribution was carried out evenly. The new Audi S3 Sportback will be offered exclusively with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The car will receive a MacPherson front suspension, and a multi-link design will be used in the rear suspension. Audi promises that the new S3 will be “the most dynamic model in the segment.” The novelty will receive increased length and width.

The exterior design of the hatchback is not a big secret, since the prototype presented was not really disguised. On its body was a thin film with the inscription Quattro. But nothing is still known about the interior of the car – even official photos have not yet. But we do have some spy shots showing a revised dashboard with an integrated infotainment system and fewer conventional buttons.
