Audi has updated the A4 familyMay 15, 2019
Changed the appearance of cars and gamma engines
Audi has introduced an updated A4 model family. The cars have changed their appearance, the basic equipment has expanded and the next generation MMI media system has appeared.
In the updated Audi A4 almost all body panels are new. The lights in the database are LED, and matrix optics with automatic high-beam control are offered for an extra charge. The pattern of the grille varies depending on the modification: the standard cars have horizontal bars, the A4 allroad has vertical bars, the “charged” S4 has honeycombs.
The A4 cabin has the next generation MMI media system. The “washer” of the control, previously located on the central tunnel, was replaced by a touch-sensitive 10.1-inch display with an acoustic response and a natural speech recognition system. Through the MMI, you can access a wide range of online services and connect to the road infrastructure: the machines have learned to interact with traffic lights and recommend the optimal speed for driving in the “green wave”. In addition, Audi has made it possible to expand the functionality of the medical complex after buying a car.
Through the myAudi application you can remotely obtain information about the car, and if you have a smartphone on Android, then unlock or lock the doors and even start the engine. Also in myAudi, you can create up to 14 profiles to store personal settings.
Amma engines updated Audi A4 thoroughly electrified: two-liter gasoline turbo engines (150, 190 and 245 forces), as well as younger diesel engines equipped with a 12-volt starter-generator with belt drive, 3.0 TDI on S4 – an electric compressor and a 48-volt battery. S4 with this engine accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.8 seconds. The 150-horsepower gasoline engine is combined with the manual transmission, the rest are set to either the robotized gearbox S tronic or the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Orders for updated A4 in Europe will begin to take this month, although sales will begin only in the fall. Starting price – 35 900 euros. “Welcome” version of the Audi A4 edition one will cost at least 53 300 euros
