Audi has introduced a new TDI version of the new generation of “charged” crossover SQ5. The car received a diesel engine, which has become an alternative to a gasoline engine.
Audi SQ5 TDI equipped with a three-liter unit V6, working on a “soft hybrid”. The engine “on heavy fuel” is equipped with a turbine and a compressor with an electric drive, operating thanks to a 48-volt on-board network and lithium-ion batteries in the floor of the car.
The electrically driven supercharger is designed to level out the delay of the turbine at low engine speeds. Transmission – eight-speed “automatic”. The system of all-wheel drive, if necessary, is able to transfer up to 70% and 85% of the thrust to the front and rear axle, respectively.
The power unit develops 347 hp and 700 Nm of torque – 7 hp less and 200 Nm more than the petrol version. The diesel crossover is able to accelerate from standstill to “hundreds” in 5.1 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds. faster Audi SQ5 with a TSI engine. Maximum speed is traditionally limited to 250 km per hour.
The standard equipment of the crossover includes adaptive shock absorbers and 20-inch alloy wheels. Air suspension and 21-inch wheels are available at an additional cost.
In Europe, taking orders for a diesel Audi SQ5 will start in spring, and the first cars will reach buyers in the summer. In Germany, the prices for a “charged” crossover start from 67,750 euros
