Audi confirms debut of coupe-shaped Q5 Sportback and new Q2 for 2020March 19, 2020
During the annual conference, which was organized by Audi, it was announced that this year the official presentation of the coupe-shaped crossover Q5 Sportback and the new version of the compact Q2 will take place.
This week, some German automakers held their annual press conferences to “look back” at the 2019 results and “look into the future.” VW showed a teaser for the second-generation Amarok pickup, while BMW announced plans to build an all-electric version of the flagship 7-series sedan. As for Audi, she announced the names of several models, which she will show later this year.
According to Bram Shot, chairman of the automaker’s board of directors, 2020 will be the year Q2 gets a restyled version in the middle of the cycle. We have already seen many “spy” images with disguised prototypes of the updated crossover undergoing testing.
Cosmetic changes will be largely limited to redesigned headlights and taillights to bring the compact crossover into line with its older brothers. A slightly modified bumper is also expected.
Bram Shot announced plans to launch the Q5 Sportback, a coupe-like model that will rival the BMW X4 and Mercedes GLC Coupe. Most likely, it will be based on an updated version of the regular Q5 crossover and should get a more powerful version of the SQ5 and RS Q5 Sportback. It goes without saying that the coupe-shaped Q5 will be more expensive than the regular version of the crossover.
