Audi began European sales of the 300-hp SQ2 crossoverDecember 14, 2018
The main power of the new Audi SQ2 lies in its engine – this is a 2-liter TFSI, which develops 296 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque from 2000 rpm already, which is a very good indicator for gasoline engines.
Paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission with dual clutch SQ2 accelerates to 100 km / h in just 4.8 seconds, which is almost equivalent to the performance of most sports cars. True, the maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h, but this is standard for all German manufacturers.
Externally, the Audi SQ2 features a distinctive front grille with eight vertical pillars, more aggressive bumpers, a front splitter, a roof spoiler and rear diffuser, an exhaust system for four pipes and decorative stripes on the sides of the body.
In addition to standard lotions such as larger wheels and a reinforced braking system, the car has adaptive steering, customized specifically for SQ2, and a special toothed rack for improved response to driver movements by the steering wheel.
A distinctive feature of the engine mounted on the model is a special two-stage fuel injection system, which improves the vehicle’s torque and makes the engine more responsive to pressing the accelerator pedal.
Finally, the Quattro all-wheel drive system is equipped with a hydraulically-operated multi-plate clutch that constantly moves the torque between the axles, having the ability to transfer up to 100% of the torque exclusively to the rear wheels in milliseconds.
