Audi announced a new flagship crossoverMay 15, 2018
Company Audi has published a new teaser image of its flagship crossover Q8. The sketch shows only the back of the car. However, even now we can say that the design of the car will almost completely repeat the prototype of the Q8 Sport, which was shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017.
The car will be built on the MLB platform. According to unofficial data, the engine range of the production version of the crossover will include diesel and gasoline engines V6 and V8 with turbo.
Later the novelty will receive a sports modification called SQ8, which will compete with the BMW X6 M. The cross-over will be equipped with a hybrid power unit. It will include a 3.0-liter TFSI V6 petrol engine with a payback of 444 hp and an electric motor. The total power of the novelty will be 470 hp.
Also expected to appear super-power RS-version. The power of such modification will be about 650 hp.
The crossover premiere is to be held in June this year. The model will be produced at the plant in Bratislava, where currently the Q7 of the second generation is being assembled. The cost of the crossover will exceed 110,500 euros. In the world market, the coupe-like Audi all-terrain vehicle will compete with the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.
