Audi A1 Citycarver debuts in FrankfurtSeptember 11, 2019
Audi A1 Citycarver 2020 will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
A car with a bright orange tint immediately attracts attention. Citycarver A1 is a version of the A1 Sportback. One of the differences is the increased ground clearance of 40 mm. Audi says this allows the model to cope with rough terrain conditions.
But, given that the car is mainly focused on urban residents and has only front-wheel drive, there is doubt about the need to increase clearance. If you look at the model from the front, you can see several aspects that immediately distinguish Citycarver from Sportback. This is the presence of three horizontal air holes above the radiator grille, black accents on the front splitter, black wheel arches, stainless steel underbody protection and more durable bumpers.
Depending on the market, the A1 Citycarver version will be available with multiple transmissions. In the UK, for example, a car can be equipped with one of two gasoline engines – a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder with 114 hp. or a 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 148 hp It is expected that more additional options will be added to the line. The first deliveries of the A1 Citycarver model are expected in the fall.
