Atelier Zagato has released the first copy of the Iso Rivolta GTZNovember 4, 2020
Design house and body manufacturer Zagato presented the very first copy of the Iso Rivolta GTZ, which was delivered to the customer.
The sports car, built in a body shop, was inspired by the iconic Iso Rivolta A3, introduced in 1963. This car became a sports icon, winning twice in its class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1964 and 1965.
The sleek, smooth style of the old A3 continued to influence the design of some of the most beautiful and significant models of the following years, including the 1966 Lamborghini Miura and the 1967 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.
The modern Iso Rivolta GTZ is an attempt to embody this classic design in a modern car using a neoclassical approach. The body consists of only two main elements of carbon fiber, which reduce weight and provide a sculptural continuous design.
GTZ also continues the Iso tradition of combining Italian style with American powertrains, as it is powered by a Corvette Z06 powerplant. So, under a cowl the 6.2-liter V8 of the LT4 series with supercharging which power makes 660 hp, and a torque of 881 Nanometers settled down.
As a result, the Iso Rivolta GTZ is a very fast car, accelerating from zero to 100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 315 km / h. Zagato does not give details about the transmission, but the C7 Corvette Z06 offers a choice of 7-speed manual transmission Tremec TR-6070 or 8-speed automatic GM 8L90.
Aimed at avid car collectors, the GTZ will be released in 19 copies. The first copy, which the company released, was created in the color Monza Green and was delivered to Lucerne, Switzerland. At the moment, 9 units have already been ordered, of which 10 are not ready yet.
