
Atelier Osprey has installed a powerful motor on a classic Defender
September 19, 2020The British company Osprey Custom Cars has announced its own new project of refinement of the classic Land Rover Defender SUV in 1985.
The car was equipped with a powerful 6.2-liter V8 power unit from the Chevrolet Corvette (C6) sports car. It is noted that during the modernization, all outer panels of the SUV, including the doors, were replaced. The frame and body were thoroughly de-rusted and repainted in Kenswick Green.
The tuners have equipped the SUV with new lines for brake and fuel systems, as well as cooling systems. In addition, the car has got reinforced axles and drives, Terra Firma springs, more efficient disc brakes on all four wheels.
The 6.2-liter GM V8 (LS3) engine develops 441 hp. (569 Nm of torque), and with it functions the 6-band automatic transmission 6L80E. As for the interior, they used light beige leather with square stitching. She trimmed all the chairs, including the benches along the sides of the trunk. The ceiling was trimmed with Alcantara, and a custom overlay with push-button control of the gearbox appeared on the floor tunnel. In turn, aluminum was used for the manufacture of interior door handles.
In addition, it was recently noted that the Ferrari coupe was made into an original limited model. Alteration of this car was carried out by the Italian company Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. The novelty was named Aero 3.
