Atelier Modellista prepared tuning for Toyota RAV4 PrimeJuly 19, 2020
The Toyota RAV4 Prime – a plug-in hybrid crossover with external charging support – debuted last November. And today Modellista showed a set of improvements for this model.
The Modellista Aero kit consists of a front splitter, side skirts and a rear diffuser. In turn, when using the Cool Shine Kit, the crossover is additionally equipped with chrome accents on the radiator grille, headlights and tailgate. In addition, original 20-inch wheels are available.
The interior upgrades were not so dramatic, with LED lighting in the footwell, ceiling and tailgate area worth noting.
The cost of modifications from the Japanese studio Modellista has not yet been disclosed.
It is worth mentioning that the difference between the RAV4 Prime and a simple model is the powertrain. It includes a 178-horsepower 2.5-liter gasoline engine, a lithium-ion battery and a boost converter. The total capacity of the unit is 306 hp, which is 86 hp. more compared to the RAV4 Hybrid (a simple hybrid, not a rechargeable option). The range on electric alone is 95 km. RAV4 PHEV accelerates to the first 100 kph in just six seconds. A car can serve as a power source: if desired, you can connect household appliances with a capacity of up to 1.5 kW / h with a voltage of 100 V.
In Japan, the RAV4 Prime trim line consists of three options, with prices ranging from 4.69 to 5.39 million yen. The standard RAV4, for comparison, is offered in the Japanese market for 2.656 million yen.
In addition, it was previously noted that the Japanese company Toyota has updated the Avalon. Along with the update, the model, in particular, acquired a special variation of the Nightshade Edition, which is based on the XSE configuration, which already has black exterior mirror housings, as well as a radiator grille and rear spoiler of the same color.
