Tuners decided to make a competitor of the Ram 1500 TRX out of the Ford F-150
American studio Mil-Spec Automotive from Michigan decided not to wait for Ford to release the Raptor with a V8 engine, but to make it themselves – in defiance of the new Ram TRX pickup.
Recall that the new Ram 1500 TRX, which is the main competitor to the Ford F-150 Raptor, is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 of the HEMI family with a supercharged drive, which develops 712 horsepower. The current Raptor has only a 3.5-liter, 450-horsepower EcoBoost turbocharged V6 engine. The F-150 spends 6.3 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h, and the TRX catapults from a standstill to 60 mph (97 kilometers per hour) in 4.4 seconds. To remedy this, the tuning studio has released an extreme version of the Ford F-150 pickup, which will become the unofficial rival of the Ram super pickup until the next-generation Raptor arrives.
According to Muscle Cars & Trucks, Mil-Spec Automotive has fitted the pickup with a 500-horsepower 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine and a supercharger drive, bringing the F-150 to 675 horsepower. The Intrepid package includes a new throttle body, re-tuned intake, new fuel injectors and a redesigned cooling system. The pickup’s ground clearance has grown to 33 centimeters. The cost of the tuning has not yet been announced, but the car will definitely cost more than $ 90,000.
