Atelier Gemballa is preparing its own hypercar: new photosOctober 28, 2019
Well-known tuning studio Gemballa decided to try their own hand at creating cars. A new premium supercar is still under development, but detailed images are already available on the Web.
Gemballa has been involved in tuning Porsche for over 40 years, and has vast experience working with sports cars and supercars. In addition, the company has good practice in finalizing and tuning McLaren 12C, Mercedes SLR McLaren and even Ferrari Enzo cars. Now, tuners want to reach new heights and release their own supercar.
The future model has not yet received its own name. But today, the studio decided to share several renderings of the future model, as well as talk about the alleged technical characteristics. The first prototype will appear in early 2020. But the exact date of the announcement is not yet available.
Judging by the images presented, the future supercar will receive a mid-engine layout. The engine will be behind the driver, and under the hood is a small trunk. The first version of the model will receive only a gasoline engine, but later a very powerful hybrid modification may appear.
According to Gamballa, acceleration to “hundreds” will take no more than 2.5 seconds, and acceleration to 200 km / h will be about 6.5 seconds, which will make it faster than the McLaren P1. No motor parts yet. It can be assumed that its power will be more than 800 horsepower. An automatic transmission will work in tandem with it, but “mechanics” can also be offered.
Of course, the cost and circulation are still unknown. If everything goes according to plan, then production will begin in 2022.
