Atelier Brabus will present a modernized hatchback Mercedes-AMG A35August 27, 2019
The official presentation of the high-performance hatchback from tuning company Brabus will be held at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
In December last year, the German studio Brabus presented its tuning project for the regular Mercedes-Benz A-Class, giving it 267 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. The guys upgraded the standard 2.0-liter turbo engine. This happened only two months after Mercedes-AMG introduced a more powerful modification of the A35 hatchback. Now, it was the high-performance A35 that was chosen as the basis for the new Brabus project.
In its standard version, the “charged” A35 boasts 302 hp. (400 Nm), transmitting all the torque to the all-wheel drive system through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
After the car received a proprietary Brabus PowerXtra B 35 kit, power and torque indicators increased to 345 hp. and 460 Nm, respectively. The increase was 43 hp (60 Nm).
If you need more power, Brabus will offer you the PowerXtra + kit B 35 S. This upgrade package includes an exhaust system with an optimized exhaust flow. It is reported that the peak power of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine is now 365 hp. (486 Nm). The more powerful of the two power boosting kits allows you to accelerate to 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds.
The increased power is combined with an aerodynamic body kit, which consists of a front diffuser, a new fixed rear wing, a stainless steel sports exhaust system with integrated sound control and additional carbon fiber tailpipes and much more. The car has black alloy wheels Brabus Monoblock T with tires Pirelli P Zero 235/35 ZR 19.
