Atelier AC Schnitzer Upgrades Station Wagon BMW 3 Series Touring 2020December 24, 2019
The tuner has developed an aerodynamic body kit, and also offers a more productive suspension that can lower / rise. At the request of the client, the engine power of the Bavarian station wagon can be increased.
The well-known German studio AC Schnitzer are those lucky ones who already have at their disposal an updated BMW 3 Series Touring station wagon. For the 2020 model year novelty, they developed and manufactured an aerodynamic body kit, which has everything from the front splitter and spoiler to non-standard side skirts and a new roof spoiler installed on the roof. All these visual additions give the sports station wagon a slightly more aggressive appearance, without changing the original exterior of the updated 3 Series.
In addition to the new “clothes”, AC Schnitzer also offers several sets of wheels 19 and 20 inches in size, as well as aluminum accessories such as gearbox elements, pedals and even a special key holder.
A protective film for the rear skirt can also be purchased at an additional cost, along with tuner emblems indicating that this is far from the usual version of the Bavarian station wagon.
Among the available upgrades there are also technical changes – a sports suspension is available for the BMW 3 Series Touring 2020 model year, which can lower the station wagon by 25 millimeters both front and rear, while a four-stage exhaust system can fool some people, believing that in front of them is the most powerful M3 Touring, which we clearly will not see – at least for this generation of model.
This would not be a complete “package” of tuning without changes under the hood – AC Schnitzer studio specialists modernized the diesel engine (work was carried out on version 330d) to raise its power from standard 265 horsepower and 580 Nm to 315 hp. and 660 Nm. The tuner will also offer similar changes for the gasoline versions of the 320i, 330i and the flagship version of the M340i xDrive, which offers 374 hp.
