At a tuning show in Tokyo, the special version of the Suzuki Swift Sport Katana debutedJanuary 11, 2020
The car, which received a spectacular “muscular” appearance, is painted in the same silver shade as the legendary motorcycle, in honor of which this special edition was conceived.
Tokyo Auto Salon 2020, an analogue of the SEMA specialized exhibition, which is held annually in Las Vegas, continues its work in Tokyo. One of the exhibits that the brand brought to the home auto show was the Suzuki Swift Sport Katana. Its creation is a tribute to the cult and recently revived Katana motorcycle. This is not the first edition of a car dedicated to the legendary motorcycle. In 2019, the brand introduced a limited special series exclusively for the Netherlands. The novelty differs from this car in a wider body and a new spectacular body kit.
The new Swift Sport Katana Edition is painted in the same silver shade as the motorcycle. The primary color dilutes many bright red and black details.
Also new to the new bumpers, grown exhaust pipes and wider rims with black and red trim and special Yokohama tires. The side sills have become larger, and the special graphics testify to the car belonging to a special series. A stylish dashboard with gradient titanium trim flaunts inside the car. A similar design is received by the center console and door cards. In the upholstery of the seats, as well as on the steering wheel and gearbox lever, a contrasting red stitching is visible. In front of the passenger is a plate with the Katana logo.
Whether there have been changes in the engine compartment is not yet reported. Recall that the standard Swift Sport sets in motion a 1.4-liter four-cylinder Boosterjet turbo engine with a return of 138 hp, combined with 6 speed manual transmission.
Earlier, our portal talked about another participant in the tuning show in Tokyo from Suzuki. This is a special “marine” version of the Jimny SUV called the Sierra Marine. In addition to appearance, the SUV surprises with its special multimedia with three displays.
