At a auction put up a restomode in the spirit of cartoon cars PixarJanuary 12, 2020
The 1941 Willys Restomod pickup truck, similar to the cute little cars from Pixar’s animated movie Cars, was made by hand.
In the framework of the Mecum Gallery exhibition, which opened today, January 12, it will be possible to purchase an unusual lot – a rare cartoon pickup truck Willys Restomod 1941. Legens Hot Rod Shop from Martins, Tennessee worked on the creation of this unusual but very cute car. In its manufacture, the specialists used a non-standard steel tubular chassis, 20 and 22-inch wheels front and rear, disc brakes, Magnuson intercoolers, a special exhaust with Magnaflow stainless steel silencers, etc.
But the main feature of a small pickup truck is its memorable appearance. It looks like it’s hit the Mecum auction right from Pixar’s Cars.
The interior of the cartoon pickup truck has air conditioning, a special dashboard, a floor-mounted console, an Eclipse DVD stereo with Pioneer speakers, Dynamat soundproofing, Buffalo leather bucket seats, BMW velor carpet and a custom-designed 1951 Holden steering wheel. The pickup is driven by a HEMI V8 engine with a displacement of 5.7 liters, the power of which in the advertising booklet, unfortunately, is not disclosed. According to experts, betting on this lot will not be cheap: collectors and fans of Pixar animation will be willing to pay good money for the car.
