Aston Martin will release an exclusive whiskeyDecember 1, 2019
Aston Martin has announced a collaboration with Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch whiskey, which will allow two brands to create new products and new experiences.
Bowmore is the oldest distillery on the island of Isla, and it will create exclusive bottles of its products, developed in collaboration with Aston Martin’s design team, combining heritage with cutting-edge design. The partnership will also be presented at exclusive events around the world.
“For an unusual brand like Bowmore, it’s very interesting to enter into a global partnership with a brand with such high respect and heritage that has been a leader in its beauty and craft industry for decades,” said Albert Baladi, President and CEO of Beam Suntory, owner brand Bowmore. “Aston Martin represents Bowmore’s commitment to the times, as well as the skill and patience needed to make sports cars and single malt Scotch whiskey intertwined.”
“These shared values will underpin our series of innovations and experiences with Aston Martin, and we cannot wait to work together on what will become the defining and industry-leading collaboration for years to come.”
Andy Palmer, president and chief executive officer of Aston Martin Lagonda, added: “This series of bottled limited editions will be of particular importance to the Aston Martin whiskey collection and enthusiast collection.”
“Brands have a lot in common,” continued Palmer. “We both strive to pamper our customers with exquisitely designed, beautifully crafted products, often releasing special limited-edition issues that glorify our heritage. Bowmore is a great British brand and, like Aston Martin, its employees are passionate about their work. I can’t wait to try the fruits of this collaboration between innovative design and the created product. ”
Along with the new partnership, Aston Martin encourages people to never drink and drive, and Drink Smart messaging will be visible in all areas of Bowmore and Aston Martin.
