Aston Martin will release a “practical” hypercarSeptember 20, 2018
Aston Martin announced the release of a new hypercar code-named Project 003. The mid-engine coupe will borrow technology from the older Valkyrie, will become more practical and will be limited to 500 copies. The start of production of hypercar is scheduled for the end of 2021.
The appearance of the new hypercar can be judged by the sketch presented by the brand: it is a small car with developed aerodynamics and proportions similar to the McLaren models. Project 003 will become more practical and suitable for daily use of the variant “Valkyrie”, will receive a luggage compartment and will be certified for all markets. The coupe will be presented in performance with the left or right rudder.
The basis of the hypercar will be a clothed monocoque, presumably made of carbon fiber, to which aluminum subframes will be attached. Project 003 will be equipped with a hybrid power unit based on a gasoline turbo engine, a complex of active aerodynamics and adaptive suspension.
The circulation of Aston Martin Valkyrie will be 150 copies. Each of them will build on the basis of the physique of the client, since the chairs are integrated into the monocoque. Hypercar will be equipped with a hybrid power plant with a capacity of 1130 horsepower, which will accelerate from place to 320 kilometers per hour in 10 seconds. The track version of the Valkyrie received a lightweight body and a modified algorithm for the operation of active aerodynamic components.
