Aston Martin will present Vanquish Vision concept in GenevaMarch 5, 2019
The concept from the British brand is the first production car with a medium engine.
This week at the Geneva Motor Show, the brand will present a car with a medium engine – true so far in the form of the concept Vanquish Vision. The novelty will show how the Aston Martin serial supercar will look like.
“First, how nice it is to revive the name Vanquish,” said Andy Palmer, president and CEO of Aston Martin Lagonda. “The Vanquish Vision Concept marks another turning point in the history of Aston Martin and another important step in the realization of our ambitious development plan.”
“Our first mid-engine production supercar will be a turning point for the brand, as this car will lead the Aston Martin into the market sector, which has traditionally been considered the center of luxury sports cars.”
Of course, at this stage, the car is still “very raw”, so it was decided to lower its technical details. We only know that the novelty will receive the same V6 engine, inspired by Formula 1, which debuts in the AM-RB 003 hypercar in a hybrid form. Vanquish Vision uses an aluminum chassis, developed under the direction of Aston Martin Chief Technical Officer Max Schwage.
It is reported that after the supercar finishes shooting for the cameras of the Geneva Motor Show, it will undergo an extensive test program in the hands of test pilots Aston Martin Matt Becker and Chris Goodwin, before entering mass production.
