Aston Martin Vantage runs the Nurburgring in 7:43February 17, 2020
The British sports coupe can drive the full Nurburgring in 7 minutes 43 seconds. The video was published on the Sport Auto YouTube channel.
The German Nürburgring race track is one of the most dangerous and difficult in the whole world. It is here that many well-known automakers are testing all their new products, conducting their high-speed tests. Many drivers hone their skills on the track. Well, the time of passing the full circle of the Nurburgring is a kind of indicator, which then characterizes sports cars.
This time, enthusiasts from the Sport Auto team decided to test the capabilities of the British Aston Martin Vantage coupe on the racetrack. In their video, they show how fast this car can go – the video was shot from the passenger compartment.
Aston Martin is known as a manufacturer of iconic British sports cars. His models have always been equipped with powerful hardware. Take for example the Aston Martin Vantage, under its hood is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that develops 503 horsepower and 684 Nm of torque. The maximum speed is 313 km / h, and acceleration to 100 km / h is 3.5 seconds.
Driving in this race is an experienced driver Christian Gebhardt, who is clearly not used to powerful cars and dangerous tracks. Thanks to several cameras installed in the car interior and additional equipment that monitors such important parameters as the actual distance, gravity and actual speed of the car, we can see how the car behaves and how the driver controls it – the latter is most valuable for many, because it gives a chance of a virtual walk on the highway.
