Aston Martin showed what their new Valkyrie hypercar is capable ofJuly 14, 2019
The British hypercar received the livery (body painting) of Formula 1 for its first public debut. The show was held on the Silverstone race track in the United Kingdom.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie is probably one of the most anticipated hypercars today. That was two years ago when Aston Martin decided to show the public a conceptual version of the model. Then it was stated that the Valkyrie is the fastest car in the world, which is allowed to drive on public roads.
This statement became more specific when the British automaker showed the engine of the car, which is located in the back of it. Gorgeous atmospheric Cosworth V12, which produces 1000 horsepower and can “spin” up to 11,100 rev per minute. Moreover, with the help of electric motors, Valkyrie develops a total of 1,160 horsepower (900 Nm).
While some may be skeptical of this car, Aston Martin put an end to doubts by organizing a public demonstration of Valkyrie on the Silverstone race track in the United Kingdom. This is the first public performance of the hypercar in its fully serial form.
Since the Valkyrie is a collaboration between Aston Martin and the Red Bull Racing team, the hypercar wears a F1 car body livery – black with red accents. It looks fiendishly cool. Behind the wheel of this Valkyrie was Chris Goodwin, and he later declared that the trip was “exceptionally special.”
At the moment, Aston Martin continues to fulfill its promise to produce only 150 units of hypercar at a price of 3.2 million dollars each.
