The British company introduced a modern replica of the classic sports car DB4 Zagato and the 770-horsepower supercar DBS GT Zagato. Cars can only be purchased together at a price of £ 6 million

Aston Martin held a public premiere of the two most expensive cars in its history at a special event in the US state of Rhode Island. The modern version of the classic DB4 Zagato sports car and the 770-strong DBS GT Zagato supercar debuted in the United States. The cost of cars that can be purchased only by a couple amounted to 6 million pounds.

These cars have become part of the DBZ Centenary anniversary collection line, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Italian Zagato bodywork studio. The company noted that the DBS GT Zagato was the first production car in the world to use carbon fiber and metal elements made using 3D printing in the interior design. The supercar emblems are made of 18ct gold.

Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato is based on the DBS Superleggera. It is equipped with a modernized 5.2-liter twin-turbo engine, the output of which was increased from 725 to 770 horsepower. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission ZF.

The dynamic characteristics of the new car have not yet been named. The usual DBS Superleggera can accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h in 3.4 s, and its maximum speed is 340 km per hour.

As for the modern replica of the classic DB4 Zagato sports car of the 1960s, its premiere took place in the summer of 2019 as part of the 24-hour Le Mans 24-hour marathon. The sports car body is made of hand-machined aluminum. Inside, racing seats are installed with a carbon frame, covered in leather. The car is equipped with an in-line six-cylinder engine with a displacement of 4.7 liters, developed by the Polish engineer Tadek Marek, known for his motors for the classic Astons.

The British company will release 19 copies of the DB4 Zagato and DBS GT Zagato. The first cars will reach buyers before the end of this year.
