Aston Martin launched a recall campaign of its cars
December 3, 2019Problems affected new cars released in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
The British company Aston Martin announced the launch of a revocable campaign for its cars. The problem lies in mounting the airbag. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), we are talking about a passenger airbag, which was not fixed with the necessary effort. This situation can lead to the fact that during the collision the pillow will not open, which significantly increases the risk of injury. Representatives of Aston Martin said that in 14% of cars that fall under the review, the problem lies precisely in the improper installation of airbags.
The revocable company includes the DB11 Coupe and Volante coupes that rolled off the assembly line from August 10, 2017 to October 18, 2018, and also from June 16 to November 27, 2018.
Also, DBS Superleggera models released from December 5 to 12, 2018 will be sent for repair. All car owners will be notified by December 18 and invited to the nearest service center to fix the problem. During the work, the airbag mount will be checked – all work will be carried out for free.
