Aston Martin fully unclassified the Vantage roadster before launching salesOctober 7, 2019
The sale should begin only in the spring of 2020. Despite the completed image, so far only a prototype has been shown to us. A production version will be presented later, but no differences are expected.
Aston Martin’s press office has decided to fuel interest in its Vantage model. Six months are left before the start of sales, but now the version of the sports coupe with an open top is completely declassified. Now we know for sure that the model will receive a light rag roof, and not a rigid folding structure.
In fact, the differences from the coupe version end here. The Aston Martin Vantage Roadster has completely retained its style and design, including curved rear optics with a long LED strip, a functional diffuser and four exhaust pipes. The front end also remained the same.
It can be assumed that the mechanism of folding the roof increased the mass of cars by about 50 kg. Therefore, the roadster can get other suspension and transmission settings, although there is no official confirmation of this yet.
A 4.0-liter biturbo engine with a power of up to 510 horsepower and 685 Nm of torque is used as a power unit. Paired with it, an eight-speed automatic transmission is aggregated.
The cost is still unknown. The public debut will be held in early 2020.
