After several months of intensive testing on public roads and on closed landfills, Aston Martin is ready to present a new convertible – the DBS Superleggera Volante. According to subjective opinion – this is one of the most beautiful coupe today available for purchase. The new car without a roof will become the second Aston Martin in the current century, which will bear the name Volante, and combining three iconic nameplates in one name.
As a power unit used 5.2-liter turbocharged V12 engine, capable of developing up to 715 horsepower 900 Nm of torque. Together with him, a new eight-speed automatic transmission from the ZF is working. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes only 3.6 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 340 km / h.
As noted in the company itself, the main purpose of creating a DBS Superleggera Volante was to present a car that retains unrivaled dynamics, British style, aggressive look and excellent handling.
Unfortunately, all this resulted in one big drawback – the price of the basic version starts from $ 329,100.
Meanwhile, Aston Martin announced an exclusive and charged DBS 59 in 24 copies. The new version of the coupe is dedicated to winning the brand in the competition of 24 hours of Le Mans “1959.
