Aston Martin DBS GT Zagato looks amazing in new sketches.March 25, 2019
Aston Martin will begin shipping the DB4 GT Zagato Continuation in the fourth quarter of 2019, while the DBS GT Zagato will be offered a year later.
After joining forces to create a refined quartet of special models based on Vanquish, the British automaker Aston Martin and the famous design studio Zagato decided to unite again to create another car. The Centenary DBZ duo, first announced in September 2018, now appeared on a couple of official teasers.
It is noteworthy that both of these cars (DBS GT Zagato and DB4 GT Zagato Continuation) will be sold in pairs for £ 6 million. Production will be limited to only 19 units per model.
Together with the sketches Aston Martin spoke in detail about the DBS GT Zagato. Based on the DBS Superleggera supercar, the version developed with Zagato has a traditional roof design. This familiar motif extends to the hood as a tribute to the first Zagato design project, and the appearance of the grille, headlights and wheels creates a visual connection with the 1960s classic Zagato DB4 GT.
There is not a word about the technical characteristics of the new DBS GT Zagato, but it is expected that under its hood there will be a powerful 5.2-liter V12 from Superleggera with turbo power of 715 horsepower and torque of 900 Nm. This power should be enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds, the maximum speed in this case will be 340 km / h.
The DB4 GT Zagato Continuation will use a 380 hp engine, rear-wheel drive, 4-speed manual and limited slip differential.
