Armored Mercedes-Benz G-Class W463 became available for purchaseOctober 25, 2019
According to the developers, the car’s armor is able to cope with the machine gun burst and even a mine explosion under the hood.
On the eve it became known about the start of sales of the ENOK P1 armored car. This car was developed by GRUMA Automobile GmbH and was created on the basis of the all-wheel drive Mercedes-Benz G-Class W463. The main advantage of the car is the armor – according to the manufacturers, the car body is able to withstand an automatic burst and even cope with the explosion of a mine under the hood. In terms of size, the novelty is 20 cm wider than the classic Gelendvagen. From the exterior, it is worth noting 18-inch wheels (22-inch is used in the serial Mercedes) and a round sunroof on the car.
Under the hood of the car is a 4.0-liter gasoline power unit with a capacity of 422 horsepower.
Of the technical innovations, it is worth noting the tire inflation system, which can be very useful in “combat” conditions. Armored Car Systems, a division of GRUMA Nutzfahrzeuge, developed the armored body. Since the resulting car is very different from the serial Mercedes-Benz G-Class W463, the developers put their logo on it instead of the three-beam Mercedes star.
