The machine will go off the assembly line at the Zuffenhausen factory.
This week, the Porsche Taycan electric car was officially presented in three countries. At the moment, the manufacturer announced that on September 9, 2019, the model will be launched into production. In Germany, a new Porsche production was opened, where Taycan will be assembled.
It should be noted that the Porsche automobile concern itself states that the new plant is aimed at protecting the ecology and the environment. Heat and energy will be generated using biogas and alternative energy sources. In addition, the brand plans to use electric vehicles at the plant. The facility itself was erected in just four years.
Porsche Taycan will acquire two electric motors, each of which will be located on its own axis. At the debut, only such versions of the car as the Turbo and Turbo S were presented. The first engine can develop power of 680 horsepower, and the second – in 761 horsepower. Power plants are powered by a battery, which has a capacity of 93.4 kilowatt hours. The car only needs 3.2 or 2.8 seconds to reach a speed of one hundred km / h for the Turbo and Turbo S versions, respectively.
A car will be able to drive 450 kilometers on a single charge; in a more expensive version, this figure will be 412 kilometers.
