Analysts reveal how many Americans know how to drive a manual transmissionJanuary 27, 2021
The relevant data was shared by the American analytical agency Harris Poll.
Recently, research agency Harris Poll, commissioned by Cadillac, conducted a study in which experts found out how many Americans are able to drive a car with a manual transmission. According to published data, about 66% of US residents said they know how to drive a mechanic, and another 55% said that they once drove such a car constantly.
It is reported that currently only 30% of those surveyed would agree to get behind the wheel of a car with a manual transmission, and one in seven said that they would never get behind the wheel of a car with a mechanic. It is worth noting that this type of transmission is favorably disposed by about 60% of Americans surveyed.
Previously, it was repeatedly reported that the percentage of new cars with a manual transmission is declining from year to year in the United States. So, at present a little more than 1% of cars in car dealerships are equipped with such a checkpoint.
