An updated calendar is expected for the Grand prix of AustriaJune 26, 2020
The Formula 1 calendar at the moment consists of eight stages, the publication of the final version was expected until the end of June, but the dates had to be shifted. According to the German Auto Motor und Sport, Liberty Media is not yet ready to present further plans due to the difficult situation with the spread of coronavirus infection in Asia, North and South America.
It is expected that in the days of the Grand Prix of Austria will be published dates for several more stages. Most likely, the race will be confirmed in Mugello on September 13.
Liberty Media did not finally refuse to hold the Grand Prix in Hockenheim, Germany – this route is considered as a fallback if the epidemiological situation does not allow a race in Sochi, and it seems that they completely abandoned the idea of organizing a race in Imola.
At the same time, there are quite good chances to take the Grand Prix at the Portuguese Algarve highway – according to the publication for the race track, a slot has been reserved in the calendar for October 4.
With a great deal of certainty, it can be argued that the season will end with stages in the Middle East. In late November and early December, there will be two races in Bahrain – most likely on two different configurations of the Sahir highway, and the final Grand Prix will take Abu Dhabi in mid-December.
