An unmanned vehicle with journalists got into an accidentFebruary 3, 2018
A group of TechCrunch journalists got into an accident during the Hyundai Genesis tests, equipped with an unmanned Phantom AI system. Also at the time of the incident, the creators of this technology were in the car. The video recording of the accident was published on the Youtube channel of the project.
At the moment, the company is testing an unmanned second-level system. The same technology is already being used on Tesla cars. The system allows you to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead of the car, also keep the vehicle in the lane.
During the demonstration of the system’s capabilities, the Nissan Rogue braked in front of the car. As a result, Hyundai Genesis failed to avoid a collision.
