An old 1948 Ford F-1 pickup truck was in the hands of tunersOctober 5, 2020
The first generation Ford F-1 pickup truck currently has a lot of fans. However, the instance that we will tell you about is, to put it mildly, strange.
A modified 1948 Ford F-1 is looking for a new owner. They are going to bail out $ 27,995 for the pickup. This “Ford” looks much more modern than its peers: so, its front end is made in the spirit of the modern F-series.
This is a very controversial point, since this design does not fit well with the convex body of the 1948 model. The pickup also gets new optics, a grille and a bespoke chrome bumper. The Ford F-1 is shod with 17-inch alloy wheels in gloss black and chrome spokes. In the back of the car there are original headlights, also made to order. Complementing the look is a fresh shade of blue that makes this pickup look like a cartoon car.
By the way, this 72-year-old truck was equipped with remote door opening.
The upgrade continued in the cabin: seats with original upholstery, black carpet, micro-suede inserts, power windows, a spectacular three-spoke steering wheel, etc. The refreshed pickup is set in motion by a 5-liter “aspirated” V8, combined with a 4-automatic transmission.
Earlier, the new head of Ford spoke about the company’s plans for the future. At the moment, the American automaker is very actively developing electric cars. However, more affordable Ford cars should appear in the near future.
