An image of the Ford Puma crossover appeared in the off-road version of the RaptorJuly 7, 2020
An independent artist presented his vision of what the Ford Puma subcompact crossover might look like in the high-performance version of Raptor.
Despite the fact that the small Ford Puma crossover sells very well in Europe, the American brand decided not to sell it at home. At the moment, the subcompact Puma is offered in several different trim levels – ST-Line (sporty appearance), Vignale (the most luxurious equipment), as well as ST-Line Vignale. Soon, a more powerful version of Puma ST will be offered.
Some Ford models in the United States have also been available in a special off-road version of the Raptor.
A new rendering by designer KDesign presents what happens if the automaker decides to release the Puma subcompact crossover in the Raptor version. And I must say that we are impressed with the result of this work.
First, we must admit that Europe is not a market for off-road, and such a “niche” model will not bring much success to the company. Nevertheless, the crossover looks absolutely fantastic with a massive Ford inscription on the false radiator grille and a protective aluminum cladding.
Puma Raptor would most likely have got the same engine that was stockpiled for the “charged” Puma ST, we are talking about a 1.5-liter turbo unit with a capacity of 198 horsepower (290 Nm).
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the new Ford Puma ST crossover was declassified on renderings. The “charged” version of the Ford Puma compact cross with the ST prefix is due out at the European car market by the end of this year. In the meantime, we can admire the rendering images of the future news.
