An armored car for the apocalypse built in CanadaSeptember 27, 2018
Canadian firm Roshel Defense Solutions introduced the armored SUV Senator Armored Rescue Vehicle, which means “Armored Rescue Vehicle”.
Passenger compartment is made of all-welded and holds 10-12 riders. Armored capsule is installed on a commercial commercial chassis – judging by the dashboard, it’s a Ford SuperDuty pickup. First of all, the car is designed for special forces and police special forces.
Under the hood – eight-cylinder diesel 6.7 330 horsepower, working in tandem with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The reservation is made in accordance with the B7 standard: the machine must withstand the firing of a rifle with 7,62 × 51 mm NATO rounds with a heat-strengthened core. According to the promises of experts Roshel Defense Solutions, the armored car has some protection from the explosion – it must withstand the undermining of two hand grenades DM51 German model or antipersonnel mines of similar power.
As standard, the armored car is equipped with seats that soften the impact of the blast wave. True, they are installed only at the rear – the driver and front passenger sit on ordinary seats from the Ford pickup.
The list of custom-built equipment includes a rotary camera of a circular view, a turret on the roof, a tire inflation system, a fire-extinguishing system, a night vision camera and a filter-ventilation unit.
The car will be presented to the general public and specialists on October 8-10 at the specialized exhibition AUSA in Washington.
