Americans showed the technology of combat vehicles of the futureJune 25, 2018
The US Advanced Defense Research and Development Agency (DARPA) demonstrated experimental vehicle technologies, combined with a common Ground X-Vehicle Technologies (GXV-T) program. The goal of the program is the creation of highly effective and safe combat vehicles capable of moving around any type of roads and impassable roads.
In particular, DARPA showed a motor-wheel with an integrated tire inflation system, internal brakes with liquid cooling and a three-speed transmission, and crawler tracks with a variable design, which can be turned into a conventional wheel if necessary.
In addition, the agency demonstrated a vehicle with a long-range multi-mode suspension and a virtual and augmented reality system that allows remote control of the car.
