American Lincoln published the teaser of the Corsair crossoverMarch 27, 2019
Luxury crossover will be presented at the New York Auto Show (April 2019). So far, nothing new is known about the compote novelty.
Lincoln launches an advertising campaign dedicated to a brand new compact crossover that replaces the aging MKS model. A couple of minutes ago, the press service of the automaker published a video showing the novelty. The fact that Americans are going to make a model with the name Corsair, we learned back in June last year. Lincoln also reports that the big debut of the new model will take place at the New York Auto Show (April 2019).
“The Corsair compact crossover will be one of our best crossovers,” the brand spokesman said.
It was originally thought that Lincoln will show the successor to the MKS in 2020, but the rapid growth in sales of SUVs and crossovers led the company to accelerate development. We have seen test prototypes of the model several times, and this is the first official teaser, which gives us a pretty good idea of what the final working version of the car will look like.
At the moment we have no official information that will power the Corsair, but it can be assumed that Ford’s 2.0-liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine from Ford will be under the hood as the base engine. In the Ford Escape crossover, this engine currently produces 245 hp. In the new Corsair, it should be connected to a standard automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. More powerful EcoBoost V6, as well as a hybrid installation will also be available for selection.
