American crashed rolling Chevrolet CorvetteMay 26, 2020
Roadster now needs expensive repairs
Rob Faretti, founder of Adventure Drives, an American rental company, described how an inept driver crashed a rented Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible Roadster. According to him, the client immediately aroused suspicions, as he was too young, but he was still entrusted with the management of a powerful sports car.
In the fleet of Faretti there is already an eighth-generation Chevrolet Corvette targa and will soon be replenished with a roadster. In the meantime, customers who want to rent an open-top car are offered the “seventh” Corvette Z06 Convertible. This was until recently, until an unnamed young man rented a car.
Faretti said on his YouTube.com fan that he immediately had doubts about a young client who demanded a Corvette convertible. However, there was no reason to refuse a rental, so the head of Adventure Drives limited himself to a warning that it was a powerful car, and it was necessary to manage it with caution.
Judging by the condition in which the convertible was returned to the fleet, the driver did not heed the advice. Corvette was in a serious accident: the front of the car was completely destroyed, the rear wings were scratched, and the airbags worked. When examining what remains of the convertible, Faretti estimated the upcoming repair at 20-25 thousand dollars
