Alternative M8: BMW 8-Series Coupe by ManhartDecember 15, 2018
We just wrote that BMW began work on the “charged” version of the M8, which will be produced in the bodywork: Coupe, Cabrio and Gran Coupe. However, the tuners from Manhart decided to get ahead of the brand and presented their own version of the “charged” coupe M850i.
At the moment, the most powerful BMW 8-Series is the M850i, but work has already begun on a full-fledged M8. While the company is finalizing its “charged” lineup version, tuners from Manhart presented a package of improvements, which is a good alternative to the future M-ki. A new project called MH8 600 is built on the basis of the M850i. In addition to the increase in capacity, the company of specialists updated the exterior and interior.
Judging by the photos, we are offered a black sports coupe, with accentuating details in gold. Immediately striking even more low ground clearance, branded alloy wheels for 21 inches matte black, and carbon fiber front and rear fender.
But the most important “chip” was the power unit, represented by a 4.4-liter turbo engine, forced to 620 horsepower and 870 Nm of torque (from the factory – 530 horses and 750 Nm of torque). Moreover, experts suggest that this may be the future M8 and M8 Competition, which will appear in 2019.
Meanwhile, the BMW announced the start of work on a full-fledged M8-series. On the eve of the future, independent designers decided to present how it would look and released a high-quality render.
