Already this summer, electric scooters with replaceable Gogoro batteries will be releasedAugust 22, 2019
Following the official announcement of the creation of the Gogoro Network, the company announced the launch of new scooters from its partners Yamaha, Aeon Motor and PGO, which will operate on this network.
The transport of these companies was specially created for replaceable batteries of a Taiwanese company. According to statements, scooters will be able to quickly replace them at any of the stations, which is more convenient than waiting until the energy supply is replenished by itself.
Gogoro’s charging network is easy to understand and no one should have difficulty working with it. Any manufacturer who has joined the network still gains access to the company’s IP and other technologies, which can be easily integrated into future projects of each of them.
Yamaha, Aeon Motor and PGO will demonstrate this by example when they show off their new electric scooters powered by the Gogoro Network.
So far, the Asian market remains the largest in terms of the number of two- and three-wheeled vehicles, so the creation of such a network is very important here. In other countries, there is no such culture, and the infrastructure itself with charging stations is not so widely applicable or even absent.
Gogoro and its partners do not say when they will start to produce scooters and even more so to sell. Potentially, electric vehicles powered by the Gogoro Network would be of interest to western drivers, local buildings report. But perhaps in a slightly different form.
In the meantime, we will wait for the latest news and more detailed information about the claimed equipment.
