Alpine A110 received a rally versionSeptember 6, 2019
Signatech specialists were also involved in the work on the new product called A110 Rally. The rally Alpine A110 has a lightweight aluminum chassis from the A110 GT4 and A110 Cup racing counterparts, as well as a hydraulic suspension and limited slip differential.
The French brand introduced a rally version of the mid-engined Alpine A110 with the prefix “Rally”. The novelty boasts a retro style in the spirit of the model A110 of the same name from the 60s and 70s. The presentation of the new coupe was organized the day before, on September 5, at the Mont Blanc Morzine rally. However, the novelty will begin its performances only next year. It is known that the A110 Rally will participate in the FIA R-GT class rally racing, like its predecessor.
Such a car gets an aluminum chassis on both Cup and GT4 races, a special hydraulic suspension that copes with the rough terrain of rally races, as well as all-wheel drive with a limited-slip differential.
The rally coupe is driven by a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine, whose power is likely to exceed 300 hp. Recall that the standard A110 is equipped with a 248-horsepower engine, and the A110S version relies on a more powerful power plant – 288 hp. The role of the transmission is performed by a six-speed racing sequencer, which replaced the seven-speed “robot”. Also, the novelty has acquired more powerful Brembo brakes and new shock absorbers.
Alpine is going to sell such cars to private racing teams. On sale A110 Rally will appear at the beginning of 2020 at a price of 150,000 euros
