Alpha Motors Shows Tent Version Of Alpha Wolf Plus Electric Pickup Truck For Extreme Camping

The California-based firm that created the Alpha Wolf Plus compact electric pickup truck has unveiled the original version of the upcoming novelty called Wolf + Cloudbreak.

The name Cloudbreak comes from the German company Heimplanet, which specializes in camping and adventure gear. Alpha partnered with Heimplanet to create a custom version of the Cloudbreak geodesic tent that matches Wolf, essentially turning the back of the truck into a platform to which the tent is attached.

Two access points at the back allow tourists to get inside, and the structure itself is considered extremely durable for extreme camping.

“Cloudbreak is a design we’ve been working on for quite some time,” said Heimplanet co-founder Stefan Klaus. “We were looking for the perfect structure that guarantees stability and provides easy access. In collaboration with Alpha Motor Corporation, we have adapted the shape to fit the vehicle, with two separate access points. “

Whether this version will become serial is not yet clear. Alpha Motors unveiled its retro Wolf pickup in March 2021 and the Wolf + with an extended cab in April.

The base model of a single-engine truck is known to be front-wheel drive and is priced at around $ 36,000. There will also be a twin-engine electric power plant with four-wheel drive. In the meantime, the automaker has not yet begun testing its electric pickup, and there is no talk of a serial version yet. So it’s too early to say whether Cloudbreak will become a special edition or will be positioned as an accessory that can be retrofitted to any Wolf.
