Almost 10,000 pre-orders have already been collected for the Genesis GV80 crossoverMay 14, 2020
According to representatives of the South Korean premium brand, almost 10,000 pre-orders have already been collected for the Genesis GV80 luxury crossover. Deliveries of new items are scheduled for the end of this year.
The mid-size crossover Genesis GV80 2021 model year is the first such model of the brand and it must be said that this car is becoming quite popular. Genesis first introduced the GV80 back in January of this year, announcing that mass production of the new product starts this summer. Now it is reported that a total of almost 10,000 pre-orders for this model have been collected.
In an interview with Roadshow overseas, Genesis CEO Marc Del Rosso suggested that consumer demand for their first crossover could even outstrip supply. Both the GV80 and the G80 sedan, on which the crossover is based, should “go into production” this summer, and the company said that there were no problems with the previously scheduled deadlines during the coronavirus pandemic.
The popularity of the GV80 is probably due to its stunning design.
A South Korean novelty that will compete with German BMW X5 crossovers, the Audi Q7 has a striking design. The new branding style is called Athletic Elegance or Athletic Elegance – editorial note.
When the GV80 2021 model year goes on sale – it happens at the end of the year, it will offer a “ton” of technology for customers who are willing to pay for them. We are talking about a digital dashboard, a 14.5-inch display of the infotainment system, handwriting recognition functions, an air purification system that actively monitors air quality, as well as a list of safety functions.
Under the hood, there will be either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower or a 3.5-liter V6 turbocharged with a power of 370 hp. The moment will be transmitted through an eight-speed automatic transmission to either the rear or all four wheels at once.
Not so long ago, we wrote that new images of the Genesis GT70 coupe appeared on the Web. Hyundai Motor’s premium sub-brand is actively expanding its model line.
