Company Alfa Romeo plans to significantly expand its product range in the next five years. Such information shared executive director of the Italian brand Reed Biglend.
It is expected that on November 17 at the Los Angeles Motor Show Alpha Romeo will present a crossover Stelvio designed to compete with the BMW X3 and Audi Q5. A bit later the Stelvio get “charged” version, able to compete with the Porsche Macan, also as the option will be coupe version to compete with the BMW X4. Under the hood of the “charged” modification can accommodate a 2.9-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine, which in a sedan Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde develops 510 horsepower.
In 2017 the Italians will release a new modification of the Giulia Estate, which also borrow powertrains from the sedan. Estate is designed to increase sales of Alpha Romeo in Europe, where wagons are the most popular.
Biglend also made a further development of the crossover line. In 2018, the company may receive a large flagship SUV coupe based on the Maserati Levante, who will be able to compete for customers with the Audi Q7 and BMW X5.
