
Acura upgrades ILX without cost increase
October 16, 2019The list of improvements is quite substantial: from the modified appearance and the complex of AcuraWatch active security systems to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Prices have not changed a bit, compared to the 2019 version of the model year.
It is difficult to call ILX an incredibly popular model in the Acura line, despite its initial and most affordable status. In order to increase demand, in the 2020 model year, cars were finalized, however, they could not resist a price increase, even the minimum.
Formally, the ILX has one package, which can be supplemented with Premium, Technology and A-Spec packages. In the 2020 version, the car receives new wheels (17-inch by default and 18-inch in A-Spec), modified bumpers, all-LED optics. In the cabin – additional electric drives of two settings of lumbar support on the driver’s seat, mandatory support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All seats have changed: with Premium and Technology packages, they have two trim options and one more in A-Spec (combined lining with faux leather and Ultrasuede suede).
Significant improvements received a set of active safety systems AcuraWatch. Now it necessarily includes automatic braking systems, warnings about exit from the occupied lane and exit from the road, as well as lane keeping and active cruise control.
Acura ILX has one engine: a 201-hp 2.4-liter i-VTEC It combines with an automated 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with manual shift mode.
The A-Spec version is also distinguished by its own body color, the finish of the exterior elements with smoky chrome.
The cost of Acura ILX in the US market is $ 25,900.
